Professor Ian Goodyer

Professor Ian Goodyer is a child and adolescent psychiatrist. He established the Section of Developmental Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge, which houses the ARC. His main program of research is in the field of childhood depression, investigating genetic, hormonal, cognitive, neural and life-event factors.

He was recently awarded a major grant from the Wellcome Trust to map brain structural development across the teenage years, and to study the ways in which atypical (clinical) groups) compare to typical neural structure.
