We are looking for volunteers to take part in a new study, the AIMS project, investigating brain structure and connections in people with high functioning autism (HFA) or Asperger Syndrome (AS). Participating in the AIMS project involves filling out online questionnaires, completing tasks using puzzles and pictures, a session in an MRI scanner and providing a DNA sample. Your parents will also be invited to provide a DNA sample and we will need to interview one of your parents about your development.

To take part in the study, you must be:
  • Male
  • Right-handed
  • Between the ages of 18 and 45 years
You must have:
  • A diagnosis of AS or HFA
  • English as your first langauge
  • A parent who is willing to give an interview about your development
You must not:
  • Be claustrophobic
  • Have any metallic or electrical implants in your body.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed and we will pay £60 for your participation. Please click here to read more about the study.
