Dr Julian Asher

Dr Julian Asher obtained his PhD in Clinical Medicine (Psychiatry) through a joint programme focusing on the genetics of synaesthesia at the Universities of Cambridge (Professor Simon Baron-Cohen) and Oxford (Professor Anthony P. Monaco). He took up a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Genomic Medicine (now the Department of the Genomics of Common Disease) at Imperial College London, where he continued to collaborate with the Synaesthesia Research Group in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge on ongoing work in the genetics of synaesthesia.

He is a founding board member of the UK Synaesthesia Association.
