Dr Sophia Xiang Sun

I received my undergraduate and Master degree in Surgery of Integrated Western and Chinese Medicine in Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Just before coming to Cambridge, I became a clinical doctor in Integrated Western and Chinese Medicine in China. I completed my MPhil in Public Health in 2009 focusing on the Epidemiology of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

As a PhD student, I am interested in research in the prevalence of ASC in China, with special focus on cultural and environmental influences. 

I was recently responsible for establishing a collaboration between the ARC and the Chinese Disabled People’s Federation.
