Please note that as a research group we are not able to offer any clinical advice.

If you think you (or a relative) may be autistic, you may wish to seek a diagnosis from a medical practitioner. You should first discuss your thoughts with your General Practitioner (GP) or family physician. You can then ask your GP or physician to refer you for a formal diagnostic assessment by a multidisciplinary team or an individual experienced in diagnosing autism. Further information on diagnosis in the UK is also available via the National Autistic Society, or from the NHS.

Directions

By rail

Cambridge Railway Station is 5 minutes away by taxi. There is a regular train service from London Kings Cross and London Liverpool Street.

By road

There are good links to the ARC from all directions.

If approaching from the M11, exit at Junction 11 which is Trumpington Rd.

If approaching from the city centre, Trumpington Road is a direct continuation from Trumpington Street but should not be mistaken for the latter.

If you are in front of King’s College it is a straight line to the ARC. By foot, it will take approximately 30 minutes, by bicycle about 10 minutes, and by taxi just 5 minutes.

You pass the beautiful University Botanical Gardens on your left en route to the ARC.

By air

The nearest airport is London Stansted Airport. There is also a regular train service from the airport to Cambridge. Stansted Airport has excellent (and often low budget) air links to most of Europe. Currently, there are no flights between North America and Stansted Airport.

If arriving from North America, please use Heathrow Airport (London). A bus from Heathrow to Cambridge takes approximately 3 hours. By taxi Heathrow is about 1.5 hours from the ARC. From Heathrow you can also take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington station, then the London Underground tube to Kings Cross station, and then a train from Kings Cross to Cambridge.
