Please see our Frequently Asked Questions if you have a query.
Please note that as a research group we are not able to offer any clinical advice.
If you suspect that you, a relative or your child may be autistic, you will need to make an appointment with your GP/family physician and ask for a referral for a specialist assessment. The National Autistic Society website is also a useful tool to find out more information.
Directions
By rail: Cambridge Railway Station is 5 minutes away by taxi. There is a regular train service from London Kings Cross and London Liverpool Street.
By road: There are good links to the ARC from all directions.
If approaching from the M11, exit at Junction 11 which is Trumpington Rd.
If approaching from the city centre, Trumpington Road is a direct continuation from Trumpington Street but should not be mistaken for the latter.
If you are in front of Kings College it is a straight line to the ARC. By foot it will take approximately 30 minutes, by bicycle about 10 minutes, and by taxi just 5 minutes.
You pass the beautiful University Botanical Gardens on your left en route to the ARC.
By air: The nearest airport is London Stansted Airport. There is also a regular train service from the airport to Cambridge. Stansted Airport has excellent (and often low budget) air links to most of Europe. Currently there are no flights between North America and Stansted Airport.
If arriving from North America, please use Heathrow Airport (London). A bus from Heathrow to Cambridge takes approximately 3 hours. By taxi Heathrow is about 1.5 hours from the ARC. From Heathrow you can also take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington station, then the London Underground tube to Kings Cross station, and then a train from Kings Cross to Cambridge.
