Beth Hatfield
Research Intern
Beth is a research intern on the Children’s Improvisational Music Therapy Evaluation (Autism-CHIME) trial, helping to evaluate the effects of improvisational music therapy on social communication and wellbeing in autistic children.
Beth holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of East Anglia. During her studies, she completed research projects exploring gender differences in susceptibility to ageist self-stereotypes, and the impact of ADHD on cognitive inhibition and inference suppression in relation to reading comprehension.
The Autism-CHIME trial provides an exciting opportunity to combine her experience working with SEN children, her love of music, and her passion for improving lives through research.
