Dr Malini Dey
Research Associate
Dr. Malini Dey is a Research Associate at the Autism Research Centre (ARC) which is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. Dr. Dey’s work focuses on the link between autistic traits and cancer.
Prior to joining the ARC, Dr. Dey completed her PhD in Cancer Sciences from the Oglesby Cancer Research Building, University of Manchester. Her PhD work specialised in ovarian cancer, DNA replication and damage, and genome instability. Dr. Dey was awarded her PhD in 2024. In addition, she holds an MSc in Molecular Medicine from University of York and a BSc in Biochemistry from University of Bath, and has undertaken many short-term placements across the UK including at Wellcome Sanger Institute.
