Dr Owen Churches

Dr Owen Churches completed his PhD in Event-Related Potential (ERP) research in autism, supervised by Dr Howard Ring and Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, investigating face perception using both ERP and psychophysical methods. He went on to become a research fellow in the Brain and Cognition Laboratory at Flinders University where he investigated the cognitive neuroscience of new forms of social interaction including emoticons and profile pictures. Owen is now working as a statistician for the Government of South Australia, providing analyses of administrative data for internal government communications and public facing data visualisations.
