Ellen Taylor-Bower
Research Associate
Ellen Taylor-Bower is a Research Associate working on the Bereaved Voices project at the Autism Research Centre. They are also in the final stages of completing a PhD in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. Their PhD research explores the psychological and physiological components of overwhelming experiences associated with autism, and aims to develop a better understanding of experiences such as sensory overload, shutdown, meltdown, and burnout.
A proactive advocate of participatory and collaborative research, Ellen is a co-organiser of the National Centre for Research Method’s Collaborative and Participatory Methodological Special Interest Group (CPMSIG), and has also supervised undergraduate psychology students on projects developing new methods for ‘interviewing’ non-speaking autistic adults.
