Irene Pallás

Research Assistant

Irene is a research assistant working within the Autism–Children’s Improvisational Music Therapy Evaluation (CHIME) trial. She also collaborates with the Neolab, based at the Evelyn Perinatal Imaging Centre at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge. Her research interests bridge neuroscience, music and early development.

Irene holds a BA in Education from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and an MSc in Neurosciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), where she worked at the Center for Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience (C3N). She also completed a Professional Music Qualification in Piano.

Prior to joining the ARC, she was part of the Music, Mind and Brain Research Group at Goldsmiths, University of London (UK), supported by a Spanish Universtage fellowship. She also worked supporting neurodivergent children in school settings in the Czech Republic and Finland.

Outside the lab, she loves running, swimming, and spending time outdoors in the mountains of Huesca.
