Yumnah Khan

Doctoral Scientist

Yumnah Khan is a final-year PhD student at the Autism Research Centre, University of Cambridge. Yumnah’s work uses large-scale neuroimaging and behavioural data to map human development from the prenatal period to early childhood. Her work focuses on investigating early sex differences in brain structure and behaviour, with the broader aim of understanding why several psychiatric and neurodevelopmental conditions show sex differences in prevalence. She has published various landmark studies in the field that have received widespread international media coverage. Yumnah has recently been awarded the Lisa Yang Early Career Fellowship at the Autism Research Centre, Cambridge, during which she will continue her work on early development.

Yumnah has previously completed a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and is a member of Trinity College, Cambridge.
